Documentaries are a powerful way to give voice and face to human rights issues. But how to successfully bring them to the international market?

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences revealed the shortlist of
15 animated short films advancing toward nomination consideration for the upcoming 98th Academy Awards®. Among the selected titles are two short films produced
by Czech studio Maurfilm: the animated documentary I Died in Irpin by Anastasiia Falileieva and Hurikán by Jan Saska.

The stop-motion film, inspired by the book Of Unwanted Things and People by Czech author Arnošt Goldflam, celebrates the art of storytelling. With a unique blend of fantasy, humor and a sensitive exploration of loss, it shows how imagination can help families stay close and find joy even in tough times.

TRIESTE: The 16th When East Meets West, the industry segment of the Trieste Film Festival has announced the lineup for its Co-Production Forum.
