TIFF entry “Rise of the Raven” conquers the world ahead of North American premiere

Year of French Central European Film 2025: French Institute in Romania Launches Film Therapy Film Club
Romania 07-08-2025BUCHAREST: The French Institute in Romania is launching in Bucharest the Film Therapy Film Club, which will pinpoint mental health and social challenges, with a focus on youth problems.
LJUBLJANA: The traditional outdoor summer screenings of the Slovenian Cinematheque on the Metelkova Museum platform started on 7 August with Vesna (1953), the popular romantic comedy directed by František Čap.
In 2025, New Nordic Films will focus on co-productions with the Baltics, aiming to promote collaboration and co-production opportunities between the Baltic and the Nordic countries.
Two films co-produced with Lithuania – Solomamma and Becoming – have been selected for competition programs at this year’s Locarno Film Festival, while several Lithuanian industry professionals will participate in prestigious international networking initiatives.

The program of the 20th Cinematik will be enriched with exclusive premieres of new Slovak and co-production films
Festivals 05-08-2025The Cinematik International Film Festival, which is one of the most important and most visited film events in Slovakia, has traditionally been profiled as a place for exclusive premieres of Slovak and co-produced films. It will be no different during its 20th anniversary year, which will take place in Piešťany from September 10 to 15. The festival will open with the Slovak premiere of director Tereza Nvotová's new film Father, but the program will also offer other titles with the participation of filmmakers such as Caravan, Hore je nebo, v doline som ja, Radeji zešílet v divočine, Veľký plastenecký výlet, Summer School 2001 and many others.
