STRASBOURG: New international projects by Radu Jude, Pawel Pawlikovski, Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov, Kornél Mundruczó and Adina Pintilie, among others, received support at the second Eurimages Project Evaluation Session of 2025.

PRAGUE: The CEE Animation Forum announced the official selection for its 13th edition. The leading platform for pitching, financing and coproduction in Central and Eastern Europe, and a key meeting point for the wider European animation industry, will be held in Pilsen, Czech Republic, from 4 to 6 November 2025.

OLOMOUC: Selectors from Sundance, CPH:DOX and Visions du Réel will gather at the dok.incubator workshop from 29 June to 7 July 2025 in Olomouc, Czech Republic, to preview upcoming documentaries and select the best fits for their competitions.

ZAGREB: The UNIQA SEE FUTURE Foundation, in cooperation with the Sarajevo Film Festival and Slano Film Days, announces the five film projects selected for the 2nd edition of the Female Filmmakers Support Programme.

BELGRADE: Serbian actress and director Mirjana Karanović is the patron of the 2025 edition of the French Film Festival in Belgrade, which is organised by the French Institute 25 – 29 June, and 3 – 6 July 2025.

One of the four Riga International Film Festival (RIGA IFF) competition sections, the regionally unique celebration of the audiovisual art and music, has taken a new shape this festival edition, with expanded geographical reach and an exciting host of prizes. This year, music videos created by Baltic artists or produced in one of the three Baltic countries will compete for a monetary award from Erica Synths, filming equipment provided by BBrental, and additional prizes. The CEE Animation Forum, the leading platform for pitching, financing and co-production in Central and Eastern Europe — and a key meeting point for the wider European animation industry, announces the official selection for its 13th edition, taking place in Pilsen (Czechia) from 4 to 6 November 2025.

Selectors from Sundance, CPH:DOX and Visions du Réel will gather at the dok.incubator workshop to preview upcoming documentaries and select the best fits for their competitions. They will join the industry experts from around the world to discuss trends in documentary filmmaking, including the impact of AI. The event, with over 120 film professionals attending, will be held in Olomouc, Czech Republic from June 29 to July 7.

Following up on the enhanced Central-European co-production focus announced earlier this month, the KVIFF Film Industry Office has just unveiled the films selected for this year’s brand-new KVIFF Central Stage showcase. The 14 projects from 8 different countries of Central Europe, seeking co-production and financing opportunities, sales, distribution or festival premieres, come from established filmmakers with extensive festival pedigrees, including Andreas Horvath, Nader Saeivar, Sonja Prosenc or László Csuja.
