NICOSIA: The award-winning Cypriot director/writer/producer Tonia Mishiali is currently in production with her anticipated sophomore feature The Lion at My Back (former Nala & Stella). This Cypriot/Luxembourgish/Greek coproduction is a poignant, emotionally charged drama, exploring themes of resilience, survival, and the transformative bond between two marginalised women.

VALLETTA: Mark Holland’s new interactive reality series House of Streams, produced by the Maltese Stream House Media Productions (SHriMP) and supported by the Malta Film Commission, will premiere exclusively on Netflix in the UK and Ireland on 18 June 2025. As a first of its kind, the show blends online live streaming content production with unscripted TV and an interactive audience ‘Chat’.

VILNIUS: Ignas Miškinis’s Lithuanian/Estonian feature film The Southern Chronicles / Pietinia Kronikas won 12 awards out of 14 nominations, including Best Feature Film, Best Director, Best Script and Best Leading Actor, at the 16th National Film Awards Silver Crane held in Vilnius.

VILNIUS: Norwegian director Janicke Askevold is currently in postproduction with her feature film Solomamma, a coproduction between Norway, Latvia and Lithuania, set to be released in 2025.
