Teona Mitevska’s The Happiest Man in the World Sold to Key Territories in Europe and Brazil

    SKOPJE: Pyramide Films has scored multiple sales for Teona Mitevska’s The Happiest Man in the World / Najsrekniotčoveknasvetot. The film, which premiered in the Orizzonti section of the 79th Venice International Film Festival, has already been sold to more than 10 countries.

    Deals for the film have now been sealed with OST Paradis (Denmark), Kino Mediteran (Croatia), Obala Art Center (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Vertigo (Slovenia), Teodora Films (Italy, San Marin, Capo d'Istria, Italian speaking Monaco), Trigon (Switzerland and Liechtenstein), and Providence Filmes (Brazil).

    Mitevska`s sixth feature film won the Great Jury Prize and the Youth Jury Prize at the 14th Les Arcs Film Festival, the FIPRESCI award for Best Film at the 35th Panorama of European Cinema, the award for Best Slovenian Minority Coproduction and two other prizes for achievement in costume design and make-up at the 25th Festival of Slovenian Film Portorož.

    The film, starring Jelena Kordić Kuret, Vedrana Božinović and Adnan Omerović, is a Macedonian/Bosnian/Belgian/Croatian/Danish/Slovenian coproduction staged by Sisters and Brother Mitevski, Vertigo, Entre Chien et Loup, SCCA/Pro.ba and Beofilm. It was supported by the Creative Europe - MEDIA Programme, Eurimages, the North Macedonia Film Agency, the Danish Film Institute, the Belgium Tax Shelter, the Croatian Audiovisual Centre and the Film Fund Sarajevo.
