WARSAW: Agnieszka Holland is in preparation with Game Count (Polish title Pokot), a crime drama which will go into production in 2014.

Holland and novelist Olga Tokarczuk are finishing the script for the drama based on Tokarczuk’s bestselling novel Drive Your Plough over the Bones of the Dead. Game Count  is the story of a retired villager, Janina, a vegetarian and astrologist, who discovers the dead body of a poacher surrounded by the tracks of deer hooves in the snow. Soon other village leaders begin to die under similarly suspicious circumstances. Janina suspects that someone is taking revenge in the name of the animals and decides to start her own investigation, but finds herself a prime suspect in the police investigation of the crimes.
