WARSAW: Agata Alexander is shooting her debut sci fi thriller Warning, an American/Polish production, in Warsaw. The cast includes Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tomasz Kot and Rupert Everett.
Warning is set in the future, just at the break of the Earth's decline. The film is the feature directing debut for Agata Alexander, who co-wrote the script with Rob Michaelson and Jason Kaye. The DoP is Jakub Kijowski, recognised for his work on the Netflix series 1983. The film is a coproduction between Cybill Lui from Anova Pictures and Stanisław Dziedzic from Film Produkcja in co-operation with Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska on the Polish side. The cast of international actors includes Patrick Schwarzenegger, Rupert Everett, Kylie Bunbury, Thomas Jane, Garance Marillier, Tomasz Kot, Iza Kuna and Olga Bołądź. The shooting began in Warsaw on 4 April 2019 and will last 25 days. The final budget of the film has not been announced. "Agata has Polish roots, which inspired the idea to consider Poland as the location to shoot her first feature film. Agata's vision of a futuristic world found its place in the locations that we've presented to her and the American producer Cybill Lui. The producers did consider Romania, but thanks to our creators, cinematographer Jakub Kijowski, set designer Jagna Dobesz and make-up designer Janusz Kaleia, as well as the recently introduced cash rebates, the project has finally landed in Poland," said producer Stanisław Dziedzic. Warning is the latest project of Stanisław Dziedzic and Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska, who jointly implemented Agnieszka Holland's latest film Mr. Jones (Film Produkcja). Production information:
