BUDAPEST: Very Merry / Úri muri, megazisten! directed by Attila Vidnyánszky, which brings Zsigmond Móricz’s 1928 classic novel to life on the big screen, is currently in postproduction with the theatrical release set for November 2026. The film was partially shot at the NFI Studios in Fót.

TALLINN: Latvian animator/director Anna Zača is currently in postproduction with the puppet animation Nesting / Ligzda, which is the first short animated film produced by all three Baltic countries. The film plays figuratively and attractively on the changes in the life of a young couple from the moment a crib appears at home.

WARSAW: Polish director Paweł Podolski is currently in postproduction with A Bit of Meaning / Trochę sensu, a feature film coproduced by Poland and Cyprus. 

ZAGREB: Mom, Dad and I / Mama, Tata i Ja directed by Vanja Juranić and starring Zrinka Cvitešić, Rade Šerbedžija, Alma Prica, and Goran Bogdan, has started postproduction. It is backed by the Croatian Audiovisual Centre (HAVC), HRT, and the Film Centre of Montenegro.

VILNIUS: Lithuanian/American director/writer/editor Tomas Vengris is currently in postproduction with Barracuda, which he calls "a film about judgement of others and judgement of ourselves". Barracuda is a Lithuanian/Italian/Latvian coproduction.

ZAGREB: The Turkish/Canadian director Sibel Guvenc is currently in postproduction with her debut feature Loya, which is a Canadian/Irish/Croatian coproduction.

TALLINN: Estonian director Evar Anvelt is in final stages of postproduction with Something Real, a crime thriller backed by the Estonian Film Institute, among others.

TALLINN: Estonian director Ivan Pavljutskov is in final postproduction with his Estonian/Lithuanian coming-of-age drama Morten. The film is based on the popular Estonian youth novel Morten, Emilie, and the Lost Worlds (2020) by Reeli Reinaus.

LJUBLJANA: Slovenian director Katarina Morano is currently shooting her awaited debut feature Seaview / S pogledom na morje. The Slovenian/Greek coproduction follows 24 hours in the life of a young family as they spiral deeper and deeper into precariousness.

BELGRADE: Serbian director Narcisa Darijević Marković and Croatian-Swedish director Marija Ratković Vidaković are currently in postproduction with their long documentary Reborn, a project backed by Film Center Serbia and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.

SOFIA: Bulgarian director Martin Markov is currently in postproduction with his debut feature The Life We Never Had, which is a national coproduction backed by the Bulgarian National Film Center.

BRATISLAVA: Slovak director Lucia Kašová is currently in postproduction with World of Walls / Svet stien. This hybrid documentary is produced by guča films in coproduction with Belgium‘s Harald House, Czech company CLAW, FACTSTORY and ARTE GEIE from France, the Czech Television, and Ji.hlava / JB Films.

BELGRADE: Young Serbian director Lee Filipovski has entered postproduction with her debut feature. The Myth of a Real Man / Mit o pravom čoveku is produced as a Serbian/Canadian/Greek/Czech coproduction.

BUDAPEST: Hungarian filmmaker László Nemes has once again teamed up with his usual cinematographer, Mátyás Erdély, for his first French-language film, Moulin. The filming of this French production commenced on 15 September 2025 in Paris, before moving to Budapest.

PODGORICA: The feature film Rooms / Sobe directed by Pavle Simonović is currently in the editing stage. A Montenegrin/Croatian coproduction made in association with Slovenia, the film will have its premiere in 2026. It is backed by both the Film Centre of Montenegro and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre, among others.

LJUBLJANA: A 5-episode TV series about the grotesque dynamic within a typical Slovenian family is now completed. Aristocracy / Plemstvo was written by Iza Strehar, directed by Žiga Virc, and backed by the Slovenian Film Centre.
